Nordic Dental Laser Society (NDLS) is a non-profit educational association with members primary from the Nordic Countries. It has no commercial interest, nor is it bound to any industrial or commercial enterprise. It was established 2006 in Copenhagen (as Norsola) and has today nearly 100 members.
The aim of the Society is the promotion and evidence based dissemination of knowledge in the use of lasers in dentistry and oral/maxillofacial surgery and the corresponding equipment and techniques. the promotion and evidencebased dissemination of knowledge in the use of lasers in dentistry and oral/maxillofacial surgery and the corresponding equipment and techniques. The objectives of the Society is: to promote the exchange of ideas and information within a fully integrated Nordic network
to establish standards of operation for laser technologies
to strengthen relations with other branches of medicine and with other societies
to intensify cooperation between universities and research institutes
to promote and coordinate post graduate studies
The Society pursues exclusively and directly aims for public benefit. It is a non-profit educational corporation. It has no commercial interest, nor is it bound to any industrial or commercial enterprise. The Society's funds and any profits may exclusively be used for purposes in compliance with the Statutes. No person may benefit from expenses alien to the purpose of the Society, or from disproportionately large remuneration. |

In accordance with the statutes of NDLS , we now introduce the third Laser Education in Dentistry. The first and second part of the education will take place in Copenhagen.
The course will offer the participant knowledge and needed clinical tools to take part of the advantages laser-supported dentistry can offer. SOLA Laser Academy provides a certified postgraduate educational programme for dentists and oral/ maxillofacial surgeons. Laser users will be trained in a 3 step- Module course in all fields of laser dentistry. It is SOLA's target to offer a funded education, based on the "Golden Standards" in Laser dentistry, getting the interested colleagues acquainted to the latest research findings and trends in this most innovative field of dentistry. The curriculum of SOLA Academy was created in co-operation with the National Laser societies affiliated to SOLA, numerous European Universities, experienced practitioners and sustaining manufacturers. International speakers will give lectures on their special field. Theoretical education is combined with hands-on training as well as supervised clinical experience for the participants. Helping to spread the knowledge about lasers further throughout Europe.
